DIFFICULTIES IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF DRUG-RESISTANT FORMS OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS

Abstract

the analysis of the examination data of 152 patients with drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis who received inpatient treatment at the Bukhara Regional Center of Phthisiology and Pulmonology in the period 2022-2023. The age of the patients ranged from 19 to 79 years, the average age was 62.8 years. In men, the disease was 2.0 times more common, and 73.0% of patients were over the age of 50. In comparative analyses, it was noted that the disease was more common in the rural population - in 110 (72.4%) cases, and in urban this indicator was 42 (27.6%). It should be noted that in 23 (15.1%) cases, the patients were secondary. Infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis was common in 143 (94.0%) patients, the advanced form - fibrous-cavernous tuberculosis – in 3 (2.0%) cases, and the early form of focal pulmonary TB was observed in 3 (2.0%) cases.
