GAMES IN LEARNING: FROM ENTERTAINMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MENTAL SKILLS

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of children's games in the development of their mental abilities. Although games are often viewed as a form of entertainment, they also provide numerous benefits for cognitive development. while playing, children develop important skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and decision making. The article argues that parents and educators should encourage children to participate in a variety of games that contribute to holistic mental development. Ultimately, this article suggests that games should be seen not only as a form of entertainment, but also as a valuable tool for mental growth and development.
