Socio-Psychological Issues of Single-Parent Families
Abstract
Single-parent families face numerous socio-psychological challenges, including economic difficulties, emotional strain, and social stigmatization. This study examines the impact of single parenthood on children's well-being, academic performance, and emotional stability, as well as the challenges faced by parents in balancing financial and caregiving responsibilities. Historical and demographic trends highlight the rising prevalence of single-parent households worldwide. The paper also explores community resources, policy implications, and possible interventions to support single-parent families. By addressing socio-psychological issues, this research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how to foster resilience and well-being in single-parent households.
